"Karada-kan" - Community-based Health Information Station

Person in Charge of the Project : Miki Akiyama"Karadakan" was established in 2007 in Tsuruoka City in Yamagata Prefecture to support decision-making of community people in terms of health-relating issues. A wide range of information includes scientifically based guidelines, as well as a variety of patients' experiences and stories. Current collection includes over 1,400 books about cancer, various pamphlets, multimedia, and computers for online searching. We provide various lectures, pro-active study groups, survivor's meetings and peer support groups in the community.

Tsuruoka Metabolomics Cohort Study

Person in Charge of the Project : Toru TakebayashiThe Tsuruoka Metabolomics Cohort Study is a prospective cohort study initiated in 2012. The purpose of this study is to develop a personalized preventive medicine with innovative metabolomics technology at Institute for Advanced Biosciences.
