Environmental education using butterflies and dragonflies at elementary school

Person in Charge of the Project : Ko NakamuraThis project has proposed and implemented the environmental education program which uses butterflies and dragonflies at the elementary school in Kawasaki. The object of this project is to bring up the school child's hearts which have respects for living things and interests to a natural environment.

Person in Charge of the Project : Masaki Kanda"We must try to solve the environmental issue." Many mass medias and scholars propose that. But it is difficult to do any specific actions for environment and nature because they can't grasp crucial image of environmental problem.

Project for improvement of the Biotope in Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care

Person in Charge of the Project : Rukan FukuiOur activities are based on developing and maintaining the Nursing Campus Biotope (located behind the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care). While this area has problems with overgrowth and invasive plants, it also has high biodiversity. The main aim of this project is to suggest an improvement plan so that this biotope contributes to regional biodiversity. At present, to better understand the animals and plants in the area, our main activity conducts regional biodiversity surveys. We also remove invasive plants, run water quality surveys, and set camera traps. Through trial and error, we aim to improve our management and development of this biotope.

Hadano project (Biological research / Trial of environmental education)

Person in Charge of the Project : Takumi AmanoOur team has been acting in Hadano. Lots of good Yato (narrow valley) and rice terraces is remained. Rice terrace is very good environment to creatures lives in a swamp, a brook, and a pond. We are trying to keep and improve the environment to call in endangered species (not only insects, also mammals). Specimen of insects collected in Hadano will be displayed in our booth. As another project, we planned and tried environmental education with NPO, Tanzawa-Donkai. This our action is also to preserve environmental of rice terrace. We will show the result.

Project for preventing animal injury in Odawara

Person in Charge of the Project : Moe Akuzawa近年、全国的に野生鳥獣による獣害が深刻化しています。神奈川県小田原市においてもイノシシ・サルによる農作物被害が確認されており、特に小田原の特産品である柑橘類の被害が深刻です。本プロジェクトは、小田原市の住民・農家・環境市民団体が地域ぐるみで効果的な獣害対策を行い、小田原市における獣害被害（イノシシ・サル）を減少させることを目的としています。また、イノシシを捕獲する際にわなオーナー制度を導入し、獣害被害対策を支援しながら小田原地域の中で経済効果を生む仕組みを提案・実施します。

Yokkaichi Fieldwork Project

Person in Charge of the Project : Momomi NoritakeTomisuhara is located in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. We hold fieldwork in Tomisuhara and find local problems to revitalize this area. Moreover, we try making suggestion for community development.
