Campus SDGs

Person in Charge of the Project : Toru NishizawaLast fall, we held "Campus SDGs Project", targeting SFC students in our campus to increase the recognition of "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)". Campus SDGs is an approach to have each student recognize global problems surrounding them and actually promoting their action. This year, our research focuses more on promoting human action. We also put effort in joint projects with other campuses outside the school using the know-hows of "Campus SDGs Project", and will present these activity details and outcomes.

Encourage local areas by SDGs! in Yomitan Village

Person in Charge of the Project : Toshio IwataOur project is "regional vitalization by SDGs". We went to Yomitan Village in Okinawa on our field work and found a lot of local problems. We have analyzed these problems by using SDGs. Yomitan Village is very popular as a sightseeing resort and many people visit every year, but on the other hand it has many kinds of problems, for example the labor shortage, the bleaching of coral, and the welfare problems. They are different from stakeholders and furthermore, they connect each other in an elaborate way. However, SDGs make the complexity clear. So, we can see the problems clearly. In this project, we are approaching "the real problems".
