This session focuses on the research on cognitive linguistics on the SFC campus and how insights from it can be applied to social issues, and we will establish the importance of basic theoretical research of language. The relevance of linguistic study is not limited to language teaching/learning, but extends to the understanding of communicative interaction in social settings. In the age when human existence is rapidly transforming, it will be highly significant to re-examine how we construct reality and share it via the use of language.
