Running on a curve need a different posture and force in contrast with a straight way. In order to sprint on curve, it is required to always produce force that continues to bend, but in order to do so, it is necessary for a runner to lean the body. In other words, in the phase of entering a curve from a straight way, a posture is changing. However, I do not understand what kind of mechanism about posture change. Therefore, we focus on the timing of posture change in the phase of entering a curve from a straight way and are conducting research about it.
In parallel bars of gymnastics, players jump out in the air and perform twist techniques. In that case they can challenge techniques with a higher level of difficulty by jumping out higher in order to obtain the duration of flight as much as possible. In order to jump out higher, it is necessary to increase the frictional force between parallel bars and hands. Therefore, we thought that we could support athletes by developing protectors that increase the frictional force between parallel bars and hands.
