Idol groups have become more popular with TVs. There have been so many Idol groups from 2010 that it is called "Sengoku period of Idols".
SMAP, a nationally famous idol group, announced its breakup in 2016, which caused wide impact on the society, and even the Prime Minister commented about it. As above, we cannot ignore the presence of Idol groups.
In this research, we examine how idol groups in Japan exist and will change, mainly by discussing the relationship between Idol groups and the mass media.
