EXHIBITION

Planning number:A43

Internet Research Laboratory

Presentation Group Representative : Jun Murai (Faculty of Environment and Information Studies)

Tokyo Midtown East B1F Hall A43

Arch research group

Person in Charge of the Project:Yohei Kuga

We propose, build and manage the next-generation network architecture and computer architecture. In this exhibition, we will present you our researches related to an IoT device, a web based application and a compiler implementation.

Short-range communication technologies and P2P networks

Person in Charge of the Project:Masahiko Hara

Your devices don't have to use Wi-Fi to communicate with each other.
We propose new communication style by short-range wireless technologies such as Bluetooth or NFC.

Remote switchable low-latency 4K video over IP

Person in Charge of the Project:Yusei Yamanaka

In the field of video production, it is common that the cameras connect to the matrix or switcher using coaxial cable.
However, the usage of coaxial cable takes a cost when adding another video sources or changing the high resolution video.
This system is able to transmit low-latency 4K video over IP.
In the demonstration, you can see the implementation transmitting between ORF venue to SFC.

Advancing Quantum Architecture

Person in Charge of the Project:Rodney Van Meter

We introduce "Quantum computation," the new information technology based on quantum mechanics.
Quantum computation will give new abilities that the computation today does not have.
Key word: quantum computer, quantum key distribution, quantum network, distributed quantum computation, computer architecture.

Kumo

Person in Charge of the Project:Shigeya Suzuki

Kumo project aims to research a Next-Generation's Internet Application and its implementation technology from a perspective of an application-layer technology mainly Web technology with cross-layering method. In particular, we're working on following areas such as Web Architecture, Web Applications, Web of Things, Trust Framework, Policy in Web and Internet. In this booth, we will show our recent activities.

SOI Asia Project

Person in Charge of the Project:Achmad Husni Thamrin

The SOI ASIA Project utilizes satellite based Internet to provide Internet environments in a less expensive, easy to deploy, and more feasible way for the universities located in the regions where Internet environments are insufficiently developed; conducts research and development of the networking and other technologies and employ them for IT human resource development in Asia while using the environments; and proposes, through field experiments, a new educational methodology for universities in Japan as well as educational institutions abroad.

Advanced Web Architecture Laboratory

Person in Charge of the Project:Osamu Nakamura

Advanced Web Architecture Laboratory aims to develop essential technologies in a Web architecture such as a vertical writing, ePub, applying Web technologies to TV devices, Digital signage and new architecture for cyber and physical space collaboration.
