'Understanding the nature of our brain and body, and nurturing them'
This is a slogan of us, the Ushiyama Lab for Human Movement Neuroscience. By regarding the brain and body as a system, we are trying to unravel mysteries about how we humans sophisticatedly control our bodily movements under various environmental constraints, and about what how we achieve new motor skills. Understanding these mechanisms would be valuable not only for deepening fundamental science, but also for expanding applied science, such as rehabilitation medicine and sports science.
