We Separate to Meet Again (Mobile Methods)

Person in Charge of the Project:Fumitoshi Kato

As a part of "Mobile Methods" project, we seek to explore the techniques and attitudes toward "set ups (bondings)" and "withdrawals (separations)," that occur in our day-to-day activities. Based on our ethnographic/qualitative research on mobile businesses (e.g., street performers, street musicians, moving stalls, food trucks, etc.), we attempt to speculate upon the ways in which we organize our communication and place-making activities. We separate to meet again. We alternate "hello" and "goodbye" repeatedly. It creates a moment at which we become aware that we are "always on the move."
