The worldwide spread of the novel coronavirus has raised great expectations for digital transformation (DX) in the fields of politics and governments, and the move is ever accelerating. I have been analyzing the use of SNS and online campaigns by politicians from a cross-sectional study between political science and informatics, with the goal of bringing about a change in consciousness in the political sector. In this pitch, I will talk about the significance of conducting fusion research as a working graduate student and the social importance of Internet usage in politics, based on my personal experience of nearly two years of moving between the field of politics and the academic field of SFC.
