A student team consisting of those from the medical, nursing and medical care, and pharmacy faculties of Keio University stays in a farm village in Sekong, a southern province of Laos, every year since 2012 to do healthcare activities. In 2016, the team designed a simple hand-wash station which can be made up with easily available materials. It was actually built in collaboration with villagers and then installed at an elementary school. Utilizing this station, a hand-washing and tooth-cleaning education was given to 250 elementary school children. A short play was also staged to give education for the prevention of malaria and dengue fever.
