This talk focuses the important aspect of sociolinguistics: welfare linguistics. The concept welfare linguistics means that the language research should be useful for human happiness and help to realize a peaceful society. We are going to present this idea in the following:1)Talk in Arabic and in Indonesian about the meaning of sociolinguitics 2)presenting examples of translanguaging society and multilingual areas outside of Japan3)introducing multilingual practices in Japan
