Laos Primary Health Care Activity Project

Person in Charge of the Project : Tomoko KoikeThe Laos Primary Health Care Activity Project is a study tour conducting a primary health care activity, made by a student team consisting of those from the medical, nursing and medical care, and pharmacy faculties. The team visited organizations which provide and consult health care services such as JICA and WHO and medical facilities in Laos. Moreover, we interacted with the students from the University of Health Science in Lao PDR and stayed two days in a farm village. Through those experience, we learned primary healthcare, sustainable development and team approach in global health. We especially focus on maternal and child health that we have learnt during the program.
