Natural Disasters and Everyday Life
Person in Charge of the Project : Vu Le Thao ChiThe purpose of "Asia: Field-Workshop on Risks" is to create a space for people to see things together, work together, discuss and solve problems together. Moving across these spaces in Japan and elsewhere in Asia, we explore new ideas, test the old notions, and design solutions to our problems. Our understanding is: no one solution to all problem. We call attention to the local conditions and initiatives to problem-solving efforts.
Another space can be almost anywhere in Japan, exposed to constant and yet unpredictable disruptions of life due to natural disasters, with a special attention to the areas around Mt. Fuji. We ask: do we live the borrowed time between natural disasters, or is our a series of constant efforts to incorporate contingencies?
