Diverse potential of achieving happiness

Person in Charge of the Project : Ryu NodaWhat is happiness? How do we achieve it? Modern society has many problems. Moreover, modern people's life is diverse. In this situation, happiness become very important point of view. Maybe, perfect method of achieving happiness is nothing. But l study happiness because l think to search potential cause of achieving happiness make happiness society.

Sense of beauty and ugliness about looks

Person in Charge of the Project : Nana KanedaThere are various attractive images around us. The media influences a standard of our beauty. What kind of looks do you think to be beautiful? Individual sense of beauty and ugliness is various. How is it formed? Other than media, for example past experience, values of country and domestic, our sense of beauty and ugliness is influenced many things. It is thought that we receive various imprinting in an unthinking. We provide sense of beauty and ugliness with growth. I would like to consider sense of beauty and ugliness about looks from psychology view point.

Relationship between Eating disorder and Personality

Person in Charge of the Project : Sachiko OkaRecently eating disorders is a matter with a focus on young women in Japan. Eating disorder is so-called bulimarexia and anorexia which gnaw patient's mind and body. It has close relation to mind condition so its diagnosis and treatment are very difficult. This project pursues relationship between eating disorder and personality. In this exhibition I introduce overview and criterion and method for diagnosis of eating disorder and method of measure personality. Additionally I intend to measure applicant's personality and possibility of being eating disorder.

The Influences from Stress to Our Walking Styles in the Crowd

Person in Charge of the Project : Yuna Watanabe"walking in the city" may give us negative emotions as well as positive ones to our mind. This project shows the gait characteristic effects by being stress. It is said that human can easily feel stress when we are too close to unknown people like crowded cities. How do negative minds affect human's behavior? And how can people control and adjust to their environment such as negative minds and stressful conditions?

Qualitative Research in Psychology: Surface Water of Rivers as Hidden Public Spaces

Person in Charge of the Project : Misato EharaIn Everyday life, public spaces are used by people in their own ways. In this dissertation, I focus on the surface water of river, one of public spaces and attempt to clarify the social value of it. I will conduct interviews with people who use the surface water on everyday basis. Moreover, I myself am going to float on the water with StandUpPaddle (SUP) board to know how I would feel to be on the water. I hope this research will highlight the value of the surface water as a public space and explain those values from psychological perspectives.

Stress reaction among university students' human relations

Person in Charge of the Project : Hisanori IijimaThe interpersonal relationship of university students is getting more and more complicated in these days. It is often said that the university students can involve with only those who likes, but actually, they cannot help but involve with those who do not like very much. This study shows the time when they feel stress in their interpersonal relationship and solution to these stress from the therapy called "Acceptance and Commitment Therapy".
