Multi Database, Multimedia Database System Design and its Application

Person in Charge of the Project : Yasushi KiyokiThe aim of this research project is to create the meta level knowledge base system for story-based active media data. These systems realize the comparison of the semantic, emotional and temporal feature relationship. The most significant features of this project are following:

5D World Map System with Semantic & Spatiotemporal Analyzers

Person in Charge of the Project : Yasushi KiyokiThe 5D World Map System is a new computational environment that makes it possible to calculate correlation on 3 geographical axis (x, y, z), 1 time axis (t), and multiple semantical axis as a multimedia semantic computing system for global environmental analysis. One of the important applications of this system is to evaluate various influences caused by natural disasters in global environments.

Creation of Information Provision Methods responding to User's Needs in Railway Space

Person in Charge of the Project : Yasushi KiyokiWe have proposed an information provision platform with a concept of mutual projection between "Real Space" and "Cyber Space" in a railway environment by correlation calculation methods. This year, we have been developing a more precise information provision method with information simplification, visualization, navigation and recommendation for users who are unfamiliar with railway environment such as foreign visitors.
