After five and half years of negotiation, the member countries finally reached final agreement. TPP, the large free trade area, is now established, covering approximately 40% of the world`s GDP. In this session, we are inviting Mr. Katsuhiko Tada, the representative of Tada Organic Farm. Concerning about the ways of governing the agriculture, he has started the dairy farm management to address it. We will discuss the possibilities of TPP and the Japanese agriculture.
Comparing with the countries, such as NZ which insisted on expanding exports of dairy products until the last minute of the negotiation, what is the problem in Japanese agriculture, the sensitive item that made negotiation difficult, and how it should be in the coming era of post-TPP.
