The Curriculum guidelines in Japan were recently revised by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to develop active and interactive ways of learning in school. Because of this educational innovation, the idea of active learning is common nowadays, and many schools have been trying to practice this. In this context, ‘Active Learning Patterns for teachers’, a pattern language which describes good practices for teachers to support students in becoming active learners, was developed. In this session, we will introduce what is the ‘Active Learning Patterns for teachers’ and actual use cases, then hold dialogue workshop with using it.
