Future evolution of "Dialogue AI"

Person in Charge of the Project : Shingo YamaguchiIn recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) services such as AI Rinna and Amazon echo, chatbot and voice speaker are started and it is expected to spread rapidly. However, such dialogue AI is centered on simple task processing such as scenario-based conversation and commodity ordering, and it does not reach the level at which intelligent dialogue with humans is done. For this reason, the Shingo Yamaguchi Laboratory will present research results on the future of dialogue AI and innovative usage models. We contribute to unique innovation of AI through research activities that teachers and students are united.

Study on "structure creating" for realizing disaster response AI

Person in Charge of the Project : Shingo YamaguchiThe Shingo Yamaguchi Laboratory, the NICT, and the NIED jointly set up the joint research conference to introduce and disseminate advanced artificial intelligence (AI) to disaster prevention areas. Currently, technology development of AI technology (natural language processing technology) that can contribute to disaster prevention is being promoted. Meanwhile, in order to put the cutting-edge technology into practical use in society and community, it is necessary to create a "structure" by creating training guidelines and technical standardization. Social implementation of AI is a top priority issue in Japan. We introduce our latest efforts at the Shingo Yamaguchi Laboratory.
