Development of sports equipment using 3D printers

Person in Charge of the Project : Yoshitaka NagasawaI used 3D fitting technique to improve athletes’ performance and the ease of use of the tools by making tools that are suitable for athletes’ body. In addition, I aim at verifying the output tool and clarify the degree of change compared to conventional tools. For example, the traditional swimming paddle fixes the finger and the board with rubber. But there is a problem that tightening rubber tends to hurt your fingers. Therefore to reduce finger pain, I took the finger model with paper clay, scan it, process the data and adjust it to fit the finger. Besides paddles, I also make toe shoe insole and gloves for wheelchair marathon.
