Fab Nurse Project

Person in Charge of the Project : Yoshihiro Asano
In Japan, this aging society have elderly or sick people live not only in hospitals, but also in their houses with physical and mental care. We apply digital fabrication technology for medical and nursing care, and give people specific caring by making things which adapt to their body, living environment and taste. In this project, we made many types of caring tools and teaching material for nursing students and people who care. These products are the results of collaborations with many type of medical personnel, and we will spread this action widely.

Urban Farming Project

Person in Charge of the Project : Hiroyuki Tachikawa
In our urban living environment, there are some activities done by local communities such as urban farms and beekeeping in the vacant lots and the roof spaces. Fabrication facilities made personal manufacturing possible and we thought that could change not only what the community would do but also the whole community itself, and we are making products from that perspective. The final output consists various scales and materials from planters to pavilions.
