As part of the RNA function analysis group, we conduct research on the fundamental basis of life on earth. We focus on two key aspects; the environment and information.The Earths environment is rich in diversity and among the various environments, extreme climates make it difficult for many organisms to survive. However, there are organisms that nonetheless inhabit those areas with extreme conditions. In order to survive the harsh environments, these organisms had to adapt. Consequently, leading them to acquire unique genes and mechanisms to enhance the rate of survival. The genetic information that organisms have in common play a crucial role here, and that is done by the support of RNA. The video will provide an apprehensible explanation of how extreme environments are linked with RNA.
