TOUCH FAB is the lab for facilitating digital fabrication concerning body perception (hapticsand tactile feelings). Combining the basic level of engineering, behavioral science, andpsychological study, we implement haptic technology in real life in multiple contexts. We alsoconducteldwork study including hands-on workshop facilitation on social implementationsof haptic technology.
The objective of TOUCH SCIENCE is to analyze haptic phenomena in our daily life. We answerquestions raised in daily living using physiological measurement or haptic feedbacktechnology. Research topics also include the development of tactile displays using perceptualphenomena (tactile illusions and cross-modal eect) that can produce haptic feelings. Latestresearch topics are: Perceptual psychology, aective psychology, developmental psychologyand cognitive haptic sciences, as well as social psychology.
