The panel will present a discussion of the issues that have led to policy gap of the statement on education in Japan with a focus on language education, diversity education, teaching resource development, and the concept of school in contemporary society. Based on this discussion, the panel will invite the audience to dialog on potential solutions to these issues. A general talk will be moderated on the relationship between current education practice and perceptions of social capital.
