Since the number of muslim visitors to Japan increases rapidly, Japanese society now faces how to offer our hospitality to them. The word Halal has been widely used by Japanese media and it is often said that halal certification is necessary to get many Muslim tourists and customers. However, Laboratory of Islamic Studies, Keio Research Institute at SFC, has found out that the information disclosure is also very necessary and should be given priority over the halal certification under the current Japanese circumstance. In the Pitch I will explain why the information disclosure is needed by muslim in Japan and what activities and researches our laboratory actually does to enhance this type of hospitality to them.
