Modern Southeast Asian Studies

Person in Charge of the Project : Mana Kakinuma

The students in the seminar do a presentation on important literature about societies and history of Southeast Asia and present the research of their interest. Through these presentations, they scrutinize their research topic. In the autumn semester, we arrange an inter-seminar with Ohta seminar from the faculty of Economy in Mita campus. At the end of each semester, all Nonaka seminar students lodge together to give a final presentation. Moreover, there is a plan to conduct a researching project in Indonesia during spring break in 2019. We exhibit the posters of 4th-year students in the seminar to display the progress of their graduation thesis at ORF.
