Our laboratory has been coping with “Social Transformation” in a developing country and in a depopulated area from educational points of view. Why not Social Innovation, but Social Transformation? An effort of problem finding and problem solving is essential to foster the ownership at grass-roots level in the area of education to bring “change” for the better future. However, the word “Social Innovation” has led people to misunderstand that Social Innovation towards the better society will be realized by someone, someday as if it were a fantastic magic. Now, it is a time to change the present situation and get back to the stage of Social Transformation from the stage of Social Innovation which bears nothing productive, from which no one knows who takes initiative and responsibilities.
