SODA: Social Big Data Platform for Creating Open Smart Cities
Person in Charge of the Project : Hideyuki Tokuda
We envision Social Big Data World where huge amount of data generated by a variety of sensors are consumed by a huge number of services simultaneously. This project aims at establishing an infrastructural technology that makes the data circulate among consumers, enabling the consumers to integrate, amplify, learn and predict the world from the data. A number of potential applications on it will provide the power of real-time city management with functionalities of, for example, real world event detection / classification, N-dimensional analysis and visualization of cities, and city resources control.
A Study on Dependability Management Scheme for Cloud Systems
Person in Charge of the Project : Jin Nakazawa
A cloud system in general is a complex system that is constructed with a number of server computers, network appliances, and disk storage devices. A variety of stakeholders depend on the system to provide services to their customers. This research aims at assuring dependability of cloud systems by defining dependability requirements in detail, deciding evidences needed to assure the requirements satisfaction, and executing them in D-Case, a dependability assurance tool.
Detection and Classification of Social Event in Smart Cities
Person in Charge of the Project : Jin Nakazawa
According to increase number of citizens in city area, creating various services such as navigation, recommendation and effectiveness are required by detecting various social events in city area. In this research, we present a system which detects and classifies social events by analyzing various data which are posted to social network and social graph. In addition, we evaluate effectiveness of our system by presenting a user interface which presents detected various events.
mimamori system
Person in Charge of the Project : Wataru Sasaki
In recent years, with declining birthrate and aging society, loss of communications and deaths of isolation has becoming a big issue in Japan. At the same time, many security systems for elderly using life logs has been proposed. But for those systems, being monitored by using camera and sensors, infringement of privacy may be threatened. Therefore, we proposed "Kugenuma Happy Board," a participatory security system, and experimented on actual community to inspect the possibility of participatory security system for elderly.
Egao-cchi
Person in Charge of the Project : Wataru Sasaki
In various research, it is widely known that smiling makes feeling better. Therefore, we propose "Egao-cchi," an application to encourage more smile. "Egao-cchi" is a character raising game by sharing photos, and it has two main features: 1. Raise character by taking a smiling selfie, 2. Extracts image feature of the person who have reacted to the shared photos by you, and evolves gradually like the person depending on his/her smile level.
MyTime, A platform for logging, visualizing and analyzing application usage to promote time management
Person in Charge of the Project : Suigen Koide
MyTime is a novel platform for logging, visualizing and analyzing application usage to promote time management. To address time management as a team, it sets competition of coding time in a group. Also, it uses machine learning to analyze what factors (date, timeslot or location) effect user's coding time.
Vtre
Person in Charge of the Project : Rei Ishikawa
Workout, only takes effect in the long term. To get this habit of workout, it is important to have a continuous motivation. Therefore, we propose "VTre," a workout system united with VR, to enhance user's motivation towards workout. VTre reflects user's workout on the game at real-time. For example, in seated cable rows, the boat will move forward depending on the weight and velocity. We also adopted ranking in the game to be more competitive, seeking further motivation.
