Open Reading Forum - SFC Authors Exhibit

Open Reading Forum – SFC Authors Exhibit

Books and publications are intellectual property assets that have played a core role in the development of society and culture by allowing humans to make new findings through the sharing of knowledge and wisdom with other people.  In the current day, with the widespread use of e-books that allow for books to be read no longer in just the printed matter, components other than just the content of the information, such as the paper texture, thickness and weight, and binding design, still figure prominently in the very existence of the printed book.

In line with the Open Research Forum 2013 theme of “bazaar of creation” which aims to bring together various intellectual activities in one place, the Open Reading Forum will display the publications that are the manifestation of concrete results of intellectual activity of SFC faculty members.  This project will allow visitors to get a glimpse of one aspect of the educational and research activities undertaken at SFC.  It is hoped that, with the printed book as the medium, connections will be formed among diverse participants, and practical wisdom that will change society will be created.

Approximately 150 printed works written, translated, or overseen by SFC faculty members and students will be on display at the venue.  Talks related to the works will take place according to the schedule listed below.
