FaceShadowing (Futuroid#1)
Person in Charge of the Project : Yasuto Nakanishi
This is the first system in our "Futuroid" project and proposes a system that utilizes image processing and generates an intermediate face between a learner and a teacher in second language learning with shadowing.
TracePlayer (Futuroid#2)
Person in Charge of the Project : Yasuto Nakanishi
This is the second system in our "Futuroid" project, proposes a new type of training system with mimicking. Our current prototype focuses on dribble in football, and consists of a tape on a floor that visualizes an experts' trace and a line trace robot using color sensors.
PresentationUpgrader
Person in Charge of the Project : Yuka Hirose
This is an online presentation practice tool for people who want to improve their public speaking skills. By recording speech practice videos, the users will be able to obtain computerized analysis and personalized comments from others. Through this, the users will discover their speaking habits and what they have to work on. The personal analysis will be kept each time on record and the user will be able to visualize their improvement. To check the actual improvement efficiency, I will be conducting user tests in the near future.
SmartSailing
Person in Charge of the Project : Mondo Saito
This project proposes a new sailing support system that can detect the wind direction and speed. It uses multiple ultrasonic sensors to acquire wind information. Using this information will allow the players to make the right choices during the yacht race.
SuperSonicShooter
Person in Charge of the Project : Mondo Saito
We are proposing SuperSonicShooter, a battle game that give players a feel of machine-gun shooting with using EMS and ultrasonic. This can be played by more than 2 people. The players will shoot each other using arm-cover shaped device, which will have EMS and ultrasonic actuator/sensors embedded in it. When the player pushes the attack button, ultrasonic wave will be emitted, and EMS will send shaking pulse to make the shooting feel more real. If the player gets attacked and receives ultrasonic waves in its device, the EMS will send strong pulse that would give shock to the player.
