Ikeda-lab has previously studied various woods’ effectiveness on practical urban settings. In this Tokyo Olympics exhibition, we propose a systematic approach to design a wooden pedestrian bridge whilst considering its city infrastructure. By bearing in mind the shrinkage of use after the Olympics, we hope to design a suspension bridge with integrated “construction-to-reuse” system.
