Our modern society is founded upon science, capitalism, and democracy, which are also the cause of a disrupted eco-system, income disparity, and populist political movements. Now we are witnessing a next chapter in science. Singularity has become a key discussion point in recent years. We are facing this difficult question of how man can proactively interact with what it has created with its own hand — machines. Perhaps in this context, we ought to turn our attention on Eastern philosophy and thought that has exhibited the ability to overcome the reductionism and scientism, ideas that find their roots in western discourse. In our session, we will discuss a wide range of topics from Eastern philosophy to quantum mechanics, exploring mankind’s wisdom, and envision our coming future.
