New technologies are expected to have impacts on military affairs. Future wars might be quite different from the past ones. Looking at history we can find many evidences that new technologies, for example, airplanes, submarines, missiles, nuclear bombs and artificial satellite, changed wars. How recent technologies affect military affairs? How will those technologies be used if we see a conflict in East Asia? This session offers new insights by front line researches while covering cyber, unmanned vehicle, outer space, and hybrid war.
