PROTO University: Toward Keio’s 200th Anniversary

Universities nurture and instill different kinds of knowledge in students and send them off into society. Society progresses by seeking students who have better knowledge and making use of it. Rapid change in society in modern and contemporary times calls for universities to change as well. As Japan’s first modern university that has led society for over 150 years, Keio University must examine how it should change in preparation for the next century. This session focuses on designing Keio University for the 22nd century. In other words, we will reveal new ideals for the next century’s university.
