Risk Management and Sustainability in Fieldwork Based Projects

コンゴ・口永良_広報用画像

Our two projects consist of three different smaller teams which are, education, medical, and architecture teams. Our summer fieldwork in Elove island was intervened by a volcanic eruption of the Shindake. As for the Congo project, Ebola was spreading out in the west side of Africa closing in on where we stayed. The two projects this summer were not able to leave a significant trace of our work because of the natural disasters. However, in our efforts to make the best out of the situation, we held different kinds of local fieldworks. We were able to find certain values by not going to our destination. Through the events we were taught of risk management in working in fieldworks.
