In order to develop comprehensive studies and activities about Islam and Islamic world, Laboratory of Islamic Studies has established in October, 2013 at Keio Research Institute at SFC, that aims at renovation of Islamic studies which is necessary for current Islamic world. Research projects in the lab have three main fields of study; basic, regional and applied studies, based upon results of studies at Prof. Okuda’s lab, and wide academic networks with Islamic world.
